The chickmunk chattered loudly and climbed down from the tree. He then, jumped into my hands. I giggled. I stroked his fur and he snuggled closer. The chickmunk looked up at me and he leaped onto my head. I giggled and looked up. Then he jumped and rested on my shoulder. Suddenly a man appeared. The chickmunk stood up and ran down my shoulder and into my arms. The man came closer and asked me, "Are you lost?" I didn't answer. "Do you you know what a vampire is?" He asked me. I shook my head. "A vampire drinks human blood." He explained to me. I stared at him wide-eyed. He grinned and said, "A vampire.... like me!" He grinned wider and his vampire teeth showed. The chickmunk's fur bristled and he ran and hid behind my neck. "Now stay still, little girl..." He mummbled at me.
I stayed still, still shocked by what happened. Suddenly a person grabbed me and pulled me up into a tree. The vimpare hissed at the person who saved me. "Aidou!" He hissed. "You are a disgrace to our clan!" The boy called 'Aidou' just shrugged. The chickmunk, sensing danger was over, gently crawled out and sat in my arms. Aidou jumped down from the tree and walked up to the vampire. The vampire hissed at Aidou. Aidou punched the vampire right in the face. The vampire clutched his face. "Wait, until I tell him." He said grinning slyly. Aidou shrugged and said, "He is my friend, and he knows what I do." The vampire hissed and disappeared. Aidou walked and brought me down from the tree.
I grabbed his hand and followed him. He led me to a clearing. "What's your name?" He asked me. "Iris" I repiled while looking at him. His eyes were the color of the chickmunk that was currently sleeping on my head. "I'm hungry, Aidou!" I told him. Aidou looked at at a tree and told me, "Stay here" He jumped onto a tree and picked two apples. The chickmunk awoke to the noises and watched Aidou pick apples with his clear brown eyes. I brought him down from my head and fed him some nuts I had picked up along the way. Aidou jumped down from the tree and gave me and apple. I bit into it. The chickmunk walked closer to the apple and gave it a sniff.
I moved the apple closer to him and he took a bite. I giggled when he grabbed the apple and began to eat more. Aidou shot an amused glace at the chickmunk. I took Aidou's hand and continued to follow him. We continued to walk until we arrived at a building. Aidou walked into the building and went to a person. "Makoto! I found this child being attacked by a vampire." He said. The man called Makoto glanced up from his work. "Ahhh...." He got up and walked next to me. "How old are you?" He asked me. "7" I replied. Makoto laughed. "Hahaha! Not too young for you, huh? Aidou?" Aidou threw a book at his face. "Let's go, Iris..." He muttered. I giggled and grabbed onto his hand. On my head, rested the chickmunk, fast asleep. That was how my 'vampire' adventure started.......
